WALK TO DEFEAT ALS

WE HAVE BIG NEWS!

The 2020 Detroit Walk to Defeat ALS will now be held WHEREVER you call home!

That’s right! To prioritize the safety of all involved - Host Your Walk at home with your friends and family! Walk, run, ride or drive to defeat ALS. Together we will celebrate, honor, and remember our loved ones.

We are asking you to organize your idea to WALK YOUR WAY, on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 10:00 am in your community for opening ceremonies. Engage your family, friends, and neighbors. The event has now “come” to your community.  Take a walk or ride around your neighborhood - get your local police and fire departments involved, spread the word about ALS, host a pre-Walk or post-Walk gathering, take lots of photos and videos to share with us and make new memories!

Watch the Kick-Off party video below for more details and ideas!

Many in our community host their own events to support The ALS Association Michigan Chapter's vision of creating a world without ALS. If you are interested in hosting a fundraiser, please contact Jennifer Hilligoss at 248.680.6540 or jenniferh@alsa-michigan.org. The ALS Association Michigan Chapter has numerous resources available to assist you in this venture.
