Support Groups and Community Resource Groups

WE ARE NOW OFFERING SUPPORT GROUPS BOTH IN-PERSON AND VIRTUAL!

We are now hosting Virtual Support Group Meetings through Zoom, a reliable video platform, to accommodate and allow more accessibility for Michigan Patients and their Caregivers.  You can attend these meetings using your computer, tablet, or smartphone. Please take a few minutes and register for Zoom *HERE* and familiarize yourself with the platform prior to your first meeting.  Please use the links listed below to register, or contact Tanya directly at (616) 276-3383 or by email, tanya.peterson@als.org. Once registered, and to protect the groups privacy, you will recieve the Zoom meeting invite and login details.

Caregiver Lab Program

The ALS Caregiver Labs are workshops created for caregivers of people living with ALS. The program
is designed to provide hands-on learning, education, and training for caregivers focusing on durable
medical equipment, communication & speech, respiratory equipment, dietary & nutrition needs, and
other areas. We have collaborated with various universities throughout Michigan and their faculty and
students within the dietician, speech, OT and PT, and respiratory programs to help provide hands-on
learning opportunities for our ALS caregivers.
