You can make a difference in the lives of people living with ALS and their loved ones by becoming a member of one of our Leadership Councils!
A Leadership Council is a group of highly skilled business and community leaders who further The ALS Association’s mission priorities and strategic plan objectives. Councils exist to advise, consult, offer their professional expertise, and to partner with territory staff, volunteers, donors, and community stakeholders in implementing programs within their specific region/or community area.

Our mission is very powerful: To discover treatments and a cure for ALS, and to serve, advocate for, and empower people affected by ALS to live their lives to the fullest.
The ALS Association Michigan Chapter works diligently to make sure people living with ALS receive the best possible care and support. But we can't do it alone. With your support, we will be one step closer to finding a treatment and cure for this disease while providing the necessary services to those living with ALS and their families.
Your gift will help The ALS Association Michigan Chapter support research to find a cure for ALS and provide much-needed services to patients and their families here in Michigan. The Chapter has numerous events offering plenty of ways for you to get involved. We host our signature event, The Walk to Defeat ALS®, in three different markets around the state. Whether it’s a Chapter event, or community partner event to benefit the Chapter, your participation helps us continue to raise funds and awareness of ALS.
The contributions of volunteers are essential to the chapter achieving its mission. Each year, our Chapter participates in numerous fundraising and information-based opportunities throughout our area. These activities create a multitude of tasks with which volunteers can easily assist, including administrative work and mailings, helping at various events and with patient services.
