Double The Impact 2019

Double The Impact Campaign

Even though the Walk is over, we are not done yet. We are excited to announce the Detroit Walk to Defeat ALS Double the Impact Campaign. Two generous donors have offered to help us meet our goal and match all donations made to the Detroit Walk from tomorrow, October 3rd, till Sunday, October 20th, up to a total of $7,500! That would mean an additional $15,000 and we've got just 2 weeks to make it happen! $15,000 could equal 30 more Care Grants to give 30 more caregivers a break or 50 more tablets to help 50 more people living with ALS communicate with loved ones.

This is a great opportunity to encourage family, friends, strangers, neighbors... everyone to help us reach our goal. Together, we will DOUBLE THE IMPACT!

Donate now at

*The matching gift will be made as one general gift to the Detroit Walk.

Don't hesitate to call or email me if you have any questions.

Stay Awesome!

New to our 2019 Walk to Defeat ALS events

Team Spirit 2019

For the first time this year we are going to have "Team Spirit" awards at all of our Walk to Defeat ALS events! The winners will be announced during our closing ceremony (ALSO NEW! - Detroit did get a sneak peak last year ☺) and will be for the below categories:

• Best Team T-shirts
• Most Spirited Team
• Most Mission-Focused Team
• Best Team Signs

Unlike in previous years, we will not be providing Team Signs. There will be a "sign-making" tent at the Walks with some supplies for you to make signs if you are unable to do so beforehand. We are sorry if this causes any inconvenience!
